Our Grading System

We've created a transparent grading system that considers the appearance, technical condition, and kilometers ridden of our refurbished bikes. "Technical condition" refers to the durability one can expect from a bike given its refurbishment process and historical quality data. The "kilometers ridden" criterion provides an estimate of how much the bike has been used, offering further insight into its condition and longevity.

  • Grade: Fair

    Appearance: Frame/equipment may have micro-scratches that could be slightly noticeable.
    Technical Condition: Equipment has signs of wear but is fully functional and reliable.
    Kilometers: The bike has been ridden for more than 5,000 kilometers

  • Grade: Good

    Appearance: Frame/equipment is in perfect condition, looking sharp.
    Technical Condition: Equipment is in good shape, with minor signs of use but performs excellently.
    Kilometers: The bike has been ridden between 2,500 and 5,000 kilometers.

  • Grade: Very Good

    Appearance: Frame/equipment is in perfect condition, looking sharp.
    Technical Condition: Equipment is in good shape, with minor signs of use but performs excellently.
    Kilometers: The bike has been ridden between 500 and 2,500 kilometers.

  • Grade: Excellent

    Appearance: Frame/equipment is in perfect condition, practically gleaming.
    Technical Condition: Equipment is in near-mint condition, with minimal signs of use and operates as if brand new.
    Kilometers: The bike has been ridden less than 500 kilometers.

Quality Program & Customer Care

All our refurbishers go through a screening process before they're allowed to sell on Nearly New Bikes. To earn our seal of approval and sell on our platform, each refurbisher must prove that their operations and quality procedures are top-notch. We keep a close eye on them to maintain a solid consistency of quality. It's an exclusive club. On average, only 1 out of 3 refurbishers that want to join Nearly New Bikes get approved.
